About G.K. Lewis

G.K. Lewis (also credited as Keith Lewis) is a Denver based writer, former practicing attorney and former Washington DC legal journalist now exploring those topics and many more to a wide range of audiences.

Lewis is motivated by themes of balance, which isn't the same as centrism, though it is often mocked as fence-sitting. Balance recognizes the bigger picture and the context outside one's biased perspective.

Lewis practiced law, primarily as a civil litigator from 2008-2018 in courtrooms across Colorado and Georgia. From 2019-2022, he worked in Washington DC for CQ Roll Call where he published multiple print and multimedia stories per day breaking down the gist of daily regulatory agency actions, mostly to a subscriber audience comprised of mainly lawyers and political insiders.

Following his extensive coverage of burgeoning cryptocurrency regulations in the United States, Lewis co-authored a chapter of a law school textbook published in Poland on U.S. cryptocurrency regulations (published Jan. 2024).

Previously often credited as Keith Lewis, he has published hundreds of articles on legal reform, regulation, incentive structures in public policy, tax, economics, dispute resolution.

Lewis is also a nationally certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, and group fitness instructor and maintains a personal passion for fitness and comprehensive preventative health. Nothing too far out there, Lewis simply believes in primarily eating real food, mostly plants and meat if you choose. Balance is key in this arena as well.

From arguing in jury trials to covering the work of Washington regulators, Lewis brings a unique insight and clarity to any writing project.

Typical projects include blog or magazine style pieces, objection legal analysis memoranda, research and writing contributions to appellate or trial briefs, legal summaries, textbooks and study guides, web content, marketing content, strategic communication consulting, fitness class or gym critique/review, instructional guidance, and more.
